This was a really impressive technical feat and a very powerful statement on the brutal futility of war. I can’t say I enjoyed this picture, because I just don’t enjoy war movies (especially WWI movies) but it was an extremely well-done movie for what it was. I was especially impressed by the editing. There was some really interesting artistic choices made within the edit. I’m glad that I watched it, but I don’t think this will be one I will revisit much if at all. It is a rough watch.

the shot of the hands on the barbed wire being something someone actually witnessed in war just speaks hella volumes as to how deep war is like this dudes legacy is told in a movie and the actor paul kills in the shell hole and the actor being mute so as much as paul wanted to talk he just couldn’t is so crazy to me. truly a fascinating movie.

I haven’t seen the 2022 remake yet, but I really can’t imagine it being better than the original.

Lewis Milestone's All Quiet on the Western Front is one of the most influential and greatest anti-war films ever made. The direction is brilliant, the war scenes are horrifying, and the film does an excellent job of showing how war completely destroys the humanity of these young soldiers. Even though it was made in 1930, it still feels incredibly raw and powerful. And that final shot is just absolutely brilliant. Highly, HIGHLY recommended. Amazing film

Como eque mesmo depois de quase 100 anos já com todos os recursos disponíveis fizeram o all quiet on the western front (2022), é porque esse filme é simplesmente horrível já este é tudo de bom para um filme de 1930 (melhor que muitos atuais também).

E agora falando sobre o filme, foi incrível, foi um filme que sim mostra a realidade de uma guerra, interpreta a do jeito que é e para quem gosta de come and see, ta aqui uma boa recomendação.
