Michael Moore comes under a lot of fire, but it’s undeniable that he has a great understanding of what makes a good documentary. Every documentary has bias, but I appreciate that, especially in this one Moore makes that very apparent by having a mix of comedy and hard hitting facts, and I love the way he unabashedly goes after the rich and powerful who are normally immune from this kind of scrutiny. This is only my second documentary of his, but I personally like how in both he focuses on Michigan specifically because I can relate to it so much. Watching these 20 years later is so crazy because for the most part things have only gotten worse and it just makes me wonder what his newer documentaries are like, which I’m sure I’ll watch soon enough. I’m interested in watching some more documentaries so if anyone reading has any recommendations I’d greatly appreciate it.
