I can't believe it: the smug version of An Officer and a Gentleman. A pseudo-intellectual examination of the pursuit of achievement, while surface-level, it almost inadvertently finds meaning. Like in finding love or "values," there's worth in trying to strengthen them. Without them, victory is hollow. With them, the struggle becomes grace. However, everyone is so snobbish in this that I’m not sure the characters could recognize it.
