Been meaning to check out the Angel Guts series for a long time, so was very happy to see the new Third Window Films Ishii blu-ray set to include one! What a great intro to the series! An expertly crafted thriller, very well placed plot-twists, some seriously disturbing moments and an absolutely masterful final act. really nice cinematography too, and great acting all around.
Overall, highly recommended! The description on letterboxd is pretty awful for this film however so don’t let that put you off it, the film is largely a violent thriller rather than your standard Pinku film. Great watch & intro to both Ishii and the Angel Guts series! Definitely will be hard to top this one.
