Obviously really inspired by Alien, and also The Thing a bit, but quite a solid recreation. 
The main flaw is that it’s quite slow and lacking in monster action in general which is sad considering how cool and unique the monster is.
Still I really enjoyed the plot as well as the underwater facilty setting and even the characters.

If alien took place in the sea instead of space I actually really enjoyed this, I knew for a fact Daniel stern was gonna be the first to go favorite line was definitely “talk about having a bad day”. By Ernie Hudson his character was really good, hidden gem of the late 80s.
