I’m a simple man, I see Frank Castle mowing people down and I’m entertained.
I totally see this as marvel testing the waters for a potential revival for the punisher just like they have done for daredevil.
Seeing Frank go from this to his appearance in Spiderman is going to be hilarious.
That’s what marvel is great at the complete contrast between those 2 characters will be great to see.

Seeing Jon Bernthal as the punisher will never not be a treat but outside of that this special presentation doesn’t deliver much. The plot is basic with fun action and a fair bit of heart but just feels like a slightly worse continuation of the show. Also wish it tied into Daredevil born again a bit more.

Weird piece of media. It repeats the same arc (exact same arc) Frank had in season 2 of his own show, but we’ve got to repeat it in a 40 minute special presentation because there’s a Spider-Man movie coming soon and the general public needs to know what’s going on with this guy without watching Daredevil, DD:BA and The Punisher. 

Other stuff is cool though. Very well made besides one shot that legitimately wouldn’t look out of place in a PS3 cutscene. Love the continuity stuff. Seeing Curtis again is awesome. One batch two batch, penny and dime will always get me. Just hope we get a new punisher story soon, cause Bernthal’s been repeating this one for about a decade now.
