i have so many thoughts about this movie….

first of all, i’m too sensitive when it comes to denzel. if anyone is mean or like he gets the short end of the stick I be INFURIATED. anyways, he has such star power. i wish the ending was a bit more dramatic…. but as long as he didn’t die or go to jail it’s ok lol i LOVED the storyline though. can’t wait to watch the original.

i never thought there’d be a movie where i can’t stand mother meryl but yuck she was wild in this.

liev & jeffrey are SLEPT ONNNNNN. period. tbh the cast was stacked!!!!!

Wtf did I just watch

Dreamlike, unhinged and completely paranoid.
The cgi battle early on was like a fever dream before I realised it’s absolutely on purpose.

A great commentary on how America has always been drunk off its own power, especially post 9/11 (when everybody lost their minds), with an inherent need for complete control and military/political influence backed by corporate greed at the cost of its own citizens.
Which is even more undeniable in 2026. 

There’s definitely a shorter and less convoluted version of this film that’s a 5*er but still a mad watch

as a journalist with an affinity for politics this was amazing. the big shadowy company controlling the minds of politicians is actually a really cool way to depict the idea of lobbying and the extent of the influence companies have over politics. on top of that- denzel is a phenomenal actor, i genuinely forgot he was playing a character at times he’s so convincing. actually the performances in this were top notch all around tbh!
