This could’ve been so much better. There’s a genuinely interesting story buried in here about an artist fighting against the odds, but instead it ends up feeling like an amateur hood movie with stiff acting and a painfully weak script. As a Latino, I want to support projects like this, but it’s frustrating when the quality just isn’t there. I’m hoping this at least pushes our community to aim higher and make stronger films in the future.
