Not a bad movie. Some good action and good pacing, and a great fighting scene at the end. I just didn’t find anything thematic or unique about this film. James Stewart was not used to his ability. I wish he had been used more instead of the gun just going from one person to another. I came in with high expectations and left disappointed. It is getting to a point where I wonder if there will be a bad western because this is insane. Loved this through and through. Jimmy Stewart and Anthony Mann is one heck of a duo.

Mann does a fantastic job shooting the action scenes in this and the ending is also very special with a gunfight between Lin and Dutch.


The opening is also amazing too watching Dutch and Lin shoot off for the Winchester Repeater was awesome
