What a sad life. Cloistered, disconnected. Hardly a patriarchy. The dregs of society. Howard is Chad’s little dweeb. Just like his marks, who are cleverly presented in this film. The main target is a deaf near-mute. We don’t even see the other girls’ faces. Pure objects.

It’s a very chatty affair, but not too stagey despite being based on a play. It’s an ideas piece, and it’s pretty effective. 

Do these men exist? Yes, kinda. But it reminds me more of secondary school dick-waving and shithousery than anything I’ve encountered in adult life. But there is definitely a strain of lads in the modern manosphere that look like Howard: self-perceived betas who think they need to shift into zero-sum to make any kind of connection with women.

I genuinely don't know how to rate this because I went from being scared, to being bored, to being scared again. We're all victims of the patriarchy. I wish I had a fake corporate job like the men in this movie but I am unfortunately a woman with a bad personality instead of a man with a bad personality, so I guess I'll have to stick with working in healthcare.

These guys suck. Aaron Eckhart is unbearable in this. Probably the biggest dickhead character I’ve ever witnessed in film.
