The ending of this film is great ! To me it illustrates how a tough group setting can cause jealousy and resentment that isn’t necessarily characteristic of an individual outside of the group setting demonstrated by the juxtaposition of the final scene to the rest of the film and the film as a whole shows the regret that this jealousy and resentment can cause. A great non linear memory style story leads the viewer to keep on guessing and waiting for a climax to the troop storyline that never comes. Leading to a fixating watch even though strong storyline is sparse.
