watched for natasha lyonne, debated the score being between a 3 and a 3.5, so that’s definitely open to change, but i just feel like it didn’t wow me like the other three films where she stars as a lead (but i’m a cheerleader, all about evil and freeway 2). i just failed to gain a true connection to what they were going for. it had a nice authentic 70s atmosphere, it generally featured a unique coming-of-age story with a lower class family, and the dry humour was quite good. one weird thing is that there’s just random incest that feels like it just gets swept under the rug? the structure of the movie of there being no beginning, middle or end was cool: but i just kinda lost interest, as it began to just feel aimless (which wasn’t necessary a bad thing, just not something i was crazy about). it has explicit sexual discovery: which both feels excessive but also somewhat realistic. it can get quite tiresome, but the scene where they were just chucking the vibrator everywhere was fun. my opinion is open to change, but i’m not completely sold on this as of now
