Isn't it crazy that it took me a literal English lesson to watch an Oscar nominated short film? Thank God that I did though, because it was so good. The dialogue between JJ and Dorothy was so sweet, I almost shed a tear at that part - especially considering that sad, lonely old people are my soft spot. My favorite shot was the football still stuck in her garden. That show showed their everlasting bond. The fact that JJ never removed that ball shows us that he never left her, even if she did leave him.
