having a short film blast before the end of the year and this one really fed me. the concept is absolutely unhinged in the best way. i was crying. a dolly parton horror idea is already scary on its own, honestly.
it also reminded me of that dolly parton tiktok meme from the pandemic, the blueberry bake pie, and that alone is enough to haunt me. angela giarratana is great here, and the short fully commits to the bit without holding back. ridiculous, creepy, and way more effective than it has any right to be.

the costuming is such a standout. i loooooove when people dress angela up in frills and pink, suits her so much! need the link to that night gown NOOOOOWWWW!!! super impressive that they made this in under 48 hours, too. that close up shot of the blood and glitter washing down the drain…. muah 💋 love it so much… so dolly
