Why'd they gotta do that to the horse though? Poor horse and poor kid.

A simple short film about the killing of a horse. The slow film really shows an extreme contrast between the way adults are indifferent towards certain aspects of life whereas children feel them more strongly. We can all stand to be more empathetic.

Of course, race does play a part in the film, with the boy and the man tasked with killing the horse are both black, doing work for white ranchers. The ways in which the child is dismissed go further than just his age
