I KNEW ITTT. i had a hunch that the duchess is still alive. that eisenheim is using a trick to make the two of them be together in the end safely and without someone tailing them for the rest of their lives.

though, it's a shame they didn't show the secrets behind his magic. i am so curious UGH why make a movie abt magic when u won't show how it is done in the end ಠ⁠_⁠ʖ⁠ಠ especially his last trick with spirits or sumthn bcs it is not physically possible unless there are projectors and such, so how???

if i am inspector uhl, i would be mad and amused for being fooled and manipulated LOL what do you mean you used me for your own benefit?

maybe i am too biased w my rating but i just loveee this genre. watching the prestige made me see the beauty of this type of film. tho this movie is far fetched from the prestige but its still great in their own way
