I must say I am a big fan. Definetly somewhere between 4 and 4.5/5 for me and since in the last few days I watched some unsatisfying movies and/or felt like being overly critical, I will give this a generous 4.5 for now ^^
I very much like this 80s digital look, I don't really know whether this analogy fits but it reminded me of black mirror bandersnatch, I don't remember a lot but I think the visual style is similar and I loved it.
I also think that every character in this movie just made sense, it seemed very natural.
I also am really surprised how much they could fit into this movie length, it felt longer than it is and this is a very rare case where I mean this positively.
The actors of Joe and Schaefer were quite good and convincing.
I liked how Joe switched from being very weak and helpless to confrontating Schaefer.
Even the weak portrayal of his relationship gets better in the end and I actually start believing in them loving each other and being supportive.
Ah and also; trans visibility for the win, good job
