amazing cinematography and symbolism i have no choice but to rewatch this because i had originally viewed it through broken subtitles only to find a higher quality version with proper subtitles… but despite not understanding where the plot was going due to the lack of subtitles the way the horrors of war were depicted was magnificent so much death, cruelty towards women, execution, and a major character driven to madness
