For what this movie accomplished back when it was made, it is incredible but as for today, it definitely is a bit dated. The story itself is great, it had an incredible amount depth of story and characters. Writing was on point, score was good. It could’ve used a bit more sound filtering because it can go from a whisper to blowing your eardrums. It did have a few weird scenes in it that I would have exhumed but whatever. The sets were well made. My only reasons I put it down here is because it’s my personal preference and because of it being dated but I’d probably watch it again.

What better way to celebrate this milestone than by watching one of the highest-regarded films of all time, Citizen Kane?

Now I finally understand why people hold this movie so high up on their pedestals. This was way ahead of its time for '41. Perhaps the first movie to use nonlinear storytelling? Maybe not. But it was probably the first one to actually use it effectively in conveying the story it wanted to tell.

And Orson Welles, he's just one of the greatest creatives ever. No doubt about it at all.
