watched it on youtube and I kinda fw it! love the overall aesthetic of 90s-2000s style of documentary.. it has that "analog horror" style to it. the plot itself is weird yet fascinating and managed to interest me in delving deeper into it, i really like the elements of a small town conspiracies and horrific entites that both seems to correlate each one.. the way this movie introduced were horrifying, started with a 911 calls where the victim was being heard incoherently screaming. i thought it's such an underrated way to show the tone of the film.. one of my fav thing in the movie is the body horror, i absolutely love the way the gore in the movie was shown, first murder was presented in graphic photos of the victim being mutilated and butchered, what makes the photos even more nauseating is the way the photos were took by a low quality 2000s camera, giving it a blurry and sickly green hue tone to it. most of the gore in the film is so well-executed, it looks realistic and reminds me with most of those real footage of killing you can find on liveleak, etc. i unironically love the mix of mockumentary style and then switched to an actual film style recording, I thought it was a nice blend. I love how heavily emphasized and oversaturated the practical effects are, though my biggest critique will be with some of the acting and editing. it can be quite cheesy at times especially with the acting that seems kinda off? some of the dialogue felt really awkward and it often kind of took me out of the immersion. but it's also part of the charm of the film. it has that campiness vibe that I unironically like.. the whole atmosphere of the film was purposely to be harsh and insistent to an extent for the overall dark and creepy tone. Im a fan of indie horror/analog horror and this film reminds me of two of my fav analog horror which is vita carnis and GHE. a solid horror movie, I LOVE IT!!
