It’s a musical, I loath musicals. It’s a romance, I loath romance. This movie is the exact representation of a movie I would not enjoy and golly gee, I was right. Absolute snooze fest for 3 HOURS!!! I hate musicals, they be like, literally anything happens, lemme burst out in a song and dance. I will admit that this one does a little better on disguising the music aspect than others but it’s still doesn’t make it good. Another thing, the dad was like, breaks up with fiancé and without hesitation is all of the main character. The pacing is also all over the place, like the finale was about 10 minutes when it should have been easily double that, the kids went form brats to gems in like a scene. The dad went from evil to nice in a flick of a switch. I lowkey don’t even remember 90% of this movie and I just watched it. There’s an ungodly amount of filler it drove me up a wall. The only reason I didn’t put in bad was because the songs are iconic even if the movie sucks. I will NOT be watching again!!!
