I think there is something counterintuitive about a movie all about how kids should read more. I think it did a bad job, because the movie was enjoyable for me so it makes me wanna watch more not READ.

Note: I'm glad I watched this as an adult because if I was a kid it would be way too scary and I wouldn't get any of the book/library jokes.

Anotha Note: I do have to mention that I started watching this movie in a library and I felt like I WAS Macaulay Culkin the Pagemaster!

growing up had a search and find book that would’ve been in promotion for this movie. never knew the existence of the film so once I learnt watched it instantly!!! the concept is simply sublime but it had no chance to breath - blink and the movie is already over. looked real pretty tho.
