absolute king of “if you ever thought the us goverment wouldn’t do that…yes they would”
i consider myself decently well versed in the heinous things we’ve done as a country and this was still eye opening to me. journalism is so insanely important and the fact that men like hersh have to be afraid for their lives and the lives of their sources should be considered crazy. terrifying times deserve journalists like hersh and knowing that those same journalists are constantly targeted, threatened, and silenced is even more terrifying.

Depressing watching this documentary. Makes me wonder if there is even a point in the government covering stuff up when people will just forget and move on and the evil people get a slap on the wrist.
“Oh you murdered hundreds of innocent civilians in Vietnam, and tried to cover it up, here is some very minor prison chargers for your crimes, while your general who did the same thing gets promoted”
