Movies are magic I don’t care what they say!
I am however much more a of a prude than I thought because when those gay furry animals started fucking I was like “aaah! I’m not woke enough for this movie!”
This film was a beautiful experience that will revoke my permission to recommend things to people the moment I try to show it to my friends. It did suffer from a bit of live action lion king where I had trouble connecting with the emotions of the characters from being realistic animated creatures but there’s a lot I liked:
✅ lesbians
✅ New York
✅ overlapping dialogue
✅ creative scenes mediated through the experience of smartphones (although it got to be a tad gimmicky)
✅ a scene in a theatre with the cutest little lamb dressed as a tomato 🥺
✅ tasteful aspect ratio changes and use of mixed media
✅ masterful changes in focalization from daughter to mother and back
What if I came out to my family back home in Mexico lol how many of them would not speak to me for nine years while they coped I wonder hahahaha jk unless

tlm déçue de pas avoir aimé que j’hésite à rewatch (bon peut être que le contexte 3eme film d’une nuit blanche d’animation sous crise d’asthme joue)
mais je sais pas j’ai trouvé l’animation très crade mais pas assez pour être esthétique
et maybe im not woke enough to watch furry romance and intercourse in my cinema
sinon la BO est folle et les dialogues avec la daronne m’ont mise au sol, imo le film est tout ce que la petite dernière n’est pas

Enorme coup de cœur, peut-être que je suis biaisée au vu de mon affection pour les personnages anthropomorphiques mais c’était vraiment génial, dialogues tellement justes et touchant, allez le voir!!
