as a lover of art and thrillers, this is precisely what piqued my interest and prompted me to watch this film.
consequently, i am rather disappointed that the plot turned out to be so predictable for me. at times, i felt as though i already knew what a particular character was about to say before they even said it. however, i must say that the film’s colour palette and cinematography were exquisite.
i found it more interesting to observe the main character’s life and admire the beautiful shots than the plot twist itself. it was probably my mistake to expect something shocking or unexpected, rather than simply appreciating the overall atmosphere and visual storytelling. even so, there were moments when it felt as though the film did not fully take advantage of its own aesthetic potential.

I was blown away. This is one of the movies that made my eyes pop out of my head. The plot twist was so unexpected, although there was a hint of malice in Robert and Billy's words. And the scene in his hidden room? Geoffrey Rush portrayed pain, hypocrisy, betrayal, and lies. I give a standing ovation to Giuseppe Tornatore.
