I always get extremely sad in malls, mass developments, and large resorts, I feel like Sofia Coppola does as well. She captures the soulless sanitized nightmare that is a Hyatt hotel room better than anyone and the sadness and isolation of traveling for business. Great double feature with Up in the Air!

I thought the cinematography was beautiful in this film, and I liked Scarlett Johansson's character, but I didn't like or care for the guy's character at all, I found him annoying more than anything.

Also like the tension they had was so weird, she was 17 while filming and he was 52… There was no reason for them to have had that weird tension or kissing, it ruined the movie for me, because I was enjoying it until it got weird.
