WHAT AN INSANELY QUEER MOVIE!!!
this came at such a relevant time in my life, as i am exploring my true queerness and possible transness (more likely than i think). i would like to think that my queerness makes up such a big part of my individuality and this movie feels like that sentiment. there is so much attention to detail, intent, and care laced throughout the whole movie and #IFeltThat.
i highly HIGHLY appreciate when a movie goes out of its way to make an effort to easily separate an alternate reality to the real one, And Then muddling the lines in between once we know what makes them distinct. i should not be bringing in my feelings about mullholand drive in this review but it is already there. the story, the side characters, the colors, the music, I resonate with this film.
casting tony labrusca and styling him in the lens of uhh checks notes horny decora feels so correct for this. the erotic voice actor turned kpop album visual will kill the telegram alter market in a heartbeat. meanwhile, ej jallorina should start teaching looking into the camera rivetingly while serving face in an emotionally charged manner classes, i'm signing up for the sole purpose of having long gripping takes with my life's imaginary cameraman and to add some more drama in my also somewhat sexless (but totally not desperate and asking for it) gay life. iyah mina is also in this movie... enough said.
the soundtrack needs to come out yesterday, or at least a spotify playlist goddamn. get the sexy moans on a podcast episode as well or in a sort of interlude for the whole thing. make it a cd, and play it on whatever cd spinning device one prefers. i will unfortunately not be participating in the esotericism of having in lay on my puss while i listen via wired earbuds but i would gladly play isayaw mo na lang whenever a minor inconvenience might push my day into breakdown territory.
everyone involved in this is so gay... nay, QUEER it feels so homey To Me. the horror scoring QUEER, the meme references QUEER, fantasizing about the downfall of bigots QUEER, dingy bathroom sex QUEER. the humor, the colors, the sexy, the cameos everything is a fucken hit. whack the mtrcb lady again for me.
i will keep this movie close to my heart, i yearn for the extended cut.
