you gotta love action for action's sake. this movie isn't trying to be anything other than entertaining, beginning to end. no romance, no bigger meaning — just a high octane, simple concept, action movie

featuring tom cruise being cold as hell while doing his best anderson cooper impression, and the best jamie foxx i've seen since django. he slaps. i wonder why he isn't in more big movies

total crowd pleaser. really not memorable, save for that incredible mta finale. peekin out the traincar doors is genius. gotta love creativity in a tight box

Growing up, my dad and I used to burn DVDs of movies. Every weekend you get a movie from the RedBox, burn it onto your computer, it’s yours now to give a copy to a friend, who is likely to return the favor by showing you a new movie too. It’s probably how I got my love for movies. We would keep all of our movies in a big binder, which I’d dive into daily to rewatch our copy of “Little Man” or “Wild Hogs” or some other terribly cheesy comedy.

For some reason one of the few movies I vividly remember in the binder Is Collateral. I can picture my dad’s handwriting in sharpie on the circuit city DVD. I never watched it, but I’m glad I have now.

First time I was ever exposed to the genius that is Jamie Foxx. Intense throughout, and very memorable.

I really enjoyed watching Cruise play the antagonist for a change, he absolutely crushed it.
The score and cinematography were both beautiful which is pretty much the standard when it comes to Mann’s work.
