Watching How Did They Ever Make a Movie of Facebook? just reminded me why David Fincher is one of the biggest reasons I fell in love with filmmaking. The way he talks about precision, technical directing, camera movement, pacing, and control over every detail genuinely inspires me to create more short films.
This documentary made me appreciate how much thought goes behind even the smallest shots. Fincher’s style feels cold, calculated, and perfectionist, but somehow still emotional at the same time. As someone who wants to keep making films, this honestly motivated me to improve creatively and technically.
After watching this, I just wanted to grab a camera and start making something again.

I absolutely love behind the scenes documentaries like these. The day-to-day filming atmosphere, the problem solving, the personal anecdotes that you’d never even know the filmmakers were thinking about.
