Flatliners has a great concept, but mid execution. The atmosphere and direction were good, but they completely wasted the great concept. It's like when you have a genius concept, but you don't know what to do with it, so you're just like "fuck it" and just completely rely on the concept to carry your movie rather than a good story. It also just feels very repetitive, with it constantly feeling like it's going in circles rather than forward. Overall, if you're looking for a good movie about what happens after death, watch Martyrs instead (even though that movie isn't even comparable lol).
