Old Jim Jarmusch don't disappoint. I got exactly what I was looking for. Interestingly, I had more fun during the pre-jail plot, and at the very end, I guess that's because there were women characters. The main allure of Down by Law is three guys hanging out, which is done tastefully, but it's not my preferred vibe. The cinematography was one of his best, and I would've loved to see more of Louisiana, or more exposition in general.
