getting nurse ratched to play the grandmother in this is an inspired choice, and the soundtrack was lowkey incredible.
however. i read the book earlier this year and quite enjoyed it, so this was in fact a massive letdown. there wasnt enough build up and like, i hate to say this….not enough incest??? like in the book the oldest kids shag and its a bit bit of her character development and their relationship with the twins and it wasnt even hinted at.
like im glad the mum died because fuck her, but that doesnt happen in the first book! so idk how i feel about that either.
