It pains me to rate this movie so low but it's so all over the place: it supposedly was meant to be about Bowie's last less known albums but it goes over them so quickly and focuses more on his earlier and famous songs, resulting in the documentary being just a collection of disorganised anecdotes about his life.
Another thing that irritated me was its use of random ambient music as soundtrack when they could have very well used his songs, even in the end credits. The costant foreshadowing of black star was atrocious and annoying, it made it way too ominous, making it look like an impeding apocalypse when it was just a yes sad but also natural conclusion to a very full life and artistic career. On a different note I can't absolutely stand the Tin Machine slander.
There were obviously positive aspects of this documentary too, them being the fact that it reawakened my love of David Bowie and specifically the whole segment on his first live at Glastonbury in 1971, that even though off topic was really interesting and well written.
