The Rover had a lot of potential, and in the beginning it was interesting. The car chase built a lot of tension and promised more intrigue. However, as the film progressed it became dull and dragged a bit; there was just a lot of repetition of shoot and get shot at by various people. Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson did great in the roles they were given, but it wasn't quite enough to make a big impact. There wasn't much focus on developing their characters so there wasn't much interest in rooting for them. I did like the visuals though, as well as the filming locations; all in all, I'm glad I gave The Rover a go since I'm generally a fan of the post-apocolyptic genre, but it's definitely not worth rewatching.
