Kermit's Swamp Years
Yea this was nonsense that would probably be traumatizing for a small child. That rock cover of Rainbow Connection is sick tho

The Great Muppet Marathon: 7/11

Every Muppet scene is a nude scene

I think I expected something much worse than this but it’s kinda just fine. Nothing spectacular, overly funny or sprinkled with that Muppet touch. But it’s entertaining enough. It’s the first in this line up that really feels like it’s aimed at kids instead of having that all round family appeal. The human actors have varying degrees of Disney Channel Original Movie level of performances, particularly the main antagonist. There’s some sweet moments and scenes that really strike at the core of Kermit’s character and the Muppet ethos.

Surprisingly, the soundtrack actually kinda rocks? There’s a couple catchy original numbers and non-diegetic songs with a pretty solid rock cover of Rainbow Connection over the credits. Which I love adding bloopers of the Muppets to, I’d like to see more of that in Muppet productions.

Not even MY BOY ROY can’t save me from giving this movie a one star. But there is a thing that I kinda liked about this film, Kermit’s character is actually treated pretty well and feels like the kermit in every other movie, and is likeable too. It’s just everything else but Kermit is fucking horrible.
