Things have cooled down for me a bit, so I figured now would be a good time to do this review.
I watched Old Yeller earlier that day. I went into this film almost completely blind (I know I watched it as a kid, but I only remembered one part from it), so picture how shocked I was when I saw that the same two boy actors from Old Yeller once again played brothers in this film. I thought it was a hell of a coincidence.
Anyway, this film was stupid, but it was a ton of fun. I never took it seriously. But I will say that I was pretty impressed with the animatronics and puppets. They didn’t look too bad, considering this came out in ‘59. I had a great time watching this film! How can you not have fun watching a dog drive a car? Now, if only we could forget about the shitty Tim Allen remake…
There was a part where the dad said one of the sons’s names like, “Moochieeeee”. I don’t know why, but that was the funniest part in the entire film for me!
