someday you will ache like i ache
the most misunderstood girl ever. she gets punished for authentically being herself and acting the same way male rockstars do yet she’s hold to a completely different standard because she’s a woman. so many people forget she was an artist before meeting kurt, and still gets overshadowed by his death and blamed for it. god forbid a woman is messy and "crazy" due to the trauma she’s endured since she was a child and the constant hate by the media. live through this is the most perfect album portraying the shame and anger you have as a teenage girl and how the world changes its perception of you once you have something to offer. which is why i also believe no man could ever truly understand Hole's discography, since so much is based on her experiences with misogyny and SA. i just find it beautiful that now she’s returning in her own terms and still having the passion to create.
