An absolutely incredible anime, light is one of the best characters ever written. Light vs El is beautiful in every way. I could glaze Light for so long but i just have to take in the amazing ending. On par with the AOT ending in sense and has beautiful visuals from start to finish. The death note is one of the coolest weapons and ideas ever and death note as a whole is incredible.

🍎 No where near as good as the anime series (and of course manga), but it’s a decent movie! 

With the Death Note anime & manga you get to sit with each part of the story much longer, It all unfolds over a longer time period. Whereas this feels a little fast paced and rushed at times. 

But I enjoyed the movie!

Now I need to find the next one to watch..

my roommate smuggled this dvd into mormon boarding school in 2013 as my first introduction to death note and i genuinely thought it was the greatest thing ever made. lowkey still do lol 

honestly so much of the art i’m drawn to now leads back to this. the weird, the macabre, the kind of stuff that had those mormon teachers deeply concerned. it all started here <3 

and so what if it’s a little corny? it’s 2006 bitch! you guys just don’t know how to have FUN!
