Reading about the absolutely disastrous production behind this movie I expected something a little less boring. I will say, you can tell that nobody here is having a good time and knowing the ludicrous shit that was going on behind the scenes it does make the mundanity a little funny.

My favorite piece of trivia I learned from the Dolittle section in Pictures at a Revolution is how Rex Harrison, bitter that the young cast disliked him (on account of constant temper tantrums and antisemitism), bought a yacht for the Saint Lucia shoot and would intentionally sail it directly into important shots and refuse to move it for hours just to be bitter.

The concept idea that can be done entertaining(Eddie Murphy) but here it is not. The effects are mostly terrible. While most of the main cast is not much a joy to watch, the movie at least a little entertaining with some of the side characters.

Very funny that they had an age appropriate couple standing right there and nevertheless it's old man Rex who gets the girl, who legit looks like his granddaughter. Songs are really good though, I love Newley, and I think a good deal of it is very sweet if weird.
