kind of boring but i did really enjoy some scenes especially towards the end. it bothered me more than it should have that rex harrison could not sing at all or at lest he wasn’t trying very hard but i guess it doesn’t matter because all the songs were awful anyway. 2 stars for sophie, i’m glad she reunited with her husband

Reading about the absolutely disastrous production behind this movie I expected something a little less boring. I will say, you can tell that nobody here is having a good time and knowing the ludicrous shit that was going on behind the scenes it does make the mundanity a little funny.

My favorite piece of trivia I learned from the Dolittle section in Pictures at a Revolution is how Rex Harrison, bitter that the young cast disliked him (on account of constant temper tantrums and antisemitism), bought a yacht for the Saint Lucia shoot and would intentionally sail it directly into important shots and refuse to move it for hours just to be bitter.
