TCM Two for One with Paul Giamatti

I’ll never get old of Carnival of Souls. It’s an odd comfort watch for me. It has an eerie feel, helped by its dreamy visuals and skin crawling organ score from Gene Moore. While its plot is mind-numbingly ambiguous and its low budget can be shown at times, Carnival of Souls is one of the most perfect imperfect films.

it’s been a while since I watched an actual good movie, i love everything about this film.

The fact Lana Del Rey sampled this quote in her song “13 beaches” from “Lust For Life” which is my favorite album by her is very special to me.

This film was so pleasing to the ear, the music for it was so fucking amazing. The whole scene where she was playing the organ while she started seeing the spirits was sooo crazy, by far the best scene of the film. It also just sounded so eerie but it was really cool to listen to. The visuals were also really good, there are so many nice shots.

I think the ending was a little predictable, at least to me, but it was still really good! I think they executed it well, and i’m sure it came as a shock at the time it came out!! It’s honestly a very spooky watch, I enjoyed it a lot

Love an asexual, mentally ill, strong independent woman, LOVED HERR!! And of course the men were all annoying and made her life harder
