I've eaten more salt than you've eaten rice and you should watch this movie with a grain of salt.
This film holds so many great scenes of bliss, love, and camaraderie. It often feels like it switches focus or so to speak story, but it just enhances that it is told as a memory and that fact makes more sense as things are revealed throughout the story.I loved it and so will you if you like something like "A brighter summer day", and dare I say this is slightly better and more digestible.It might be 5/5 on rewatch.Jiang Wen must have learned a thing or two from being on set with Zhang Yimou.
