9.7/10 this is the most horror non-horror film ever. Man Tupac was taken away from us way to early. He honestly was a phenomenal actor. Omar Epps kills it here and delivers a top notch performance. I honestly thought this would just be a reflection hood movie where maybe one of the main 4 of the group dies at the end but I was totally wrong. One word to describe this move is ruthless. That man Bishop is quite literally the devil. The biggest mistake Raheem made was not checking Bishop when he has overly heated about getting the gun over Q. Tupac deadass was Michael Meyers here. Literally at the start of the third act when he pops out of the shadows behind Q in the Michael Meyers lighting that was just such a cool shot. The movie really just changed genres at the halfway point. Tupac really could’ve played a great psycho slasher if he lived longer. This was not what I expected at all in this movie but I absolutely loved it. Bishop staring at Q while hugging Raheem’s mom right after he killed Raheem had my mouth dropped. Also poor Steel man most of them treated him like shit the whole movie. Happy Steel got to survive though. My only critique which is taking this away from a 10/10 is that I wish this had a extra 25 to 30 minutes just because I wanted so much more of this. This movie is easily a certified classic.

This film is a mix of genres noting gang violence, music/drama, and thriller elements. I wish that it played deeper into those parts. Stylistically I think they couldve had starker moments. Tupac was a straight menace the whole movie.
