I love this story but overall I felt like this was a fairly weak adaptation. Fanny is too giggly, too bright in this version, but I think it does an accurate job of portraying the strong inferiority that Fanny possesses despite her politeness and strong moral code. Mary is great in this. A lot of important scenes cut out. You can’t improve on Austen’s greatness, stop even trying!
