I think I struggled with this one because I was expecting something like Bringing up Baby or Philadelphia Story that was more laugh out loud funny. This is a drawing room comedy that I may have to revisit with that in mind.
Katharine Hepburn is so regal. I love watching her perform, and I have to say I prefer her on-screen chemistry with Cary Grant more than her more frequent costar, Spencer Tracy. They both deliver amazing and occasionally athletic performances in this.
As for the script, I don't really think I knew what I was getting myself in for. I found this movie occasionally charming but I struggled with the pace of it. There aren't as many shenanigans as Grant's other 30s comedies, and it did get bogged down in the details occasionally.
I hope to revisit this in the future.
