Wow this sucks… but it is fun. It’s a complete subversion from the original which makes it way worse. On its own it’s a fun horror comedy with chainsaw battles and theme parks and a killer character called chop top (pun intended) this movie is so weird it’s alright and definitely needs a watch if your a TCM fan even if it sucks

I strongly believe that Texas Chainsaw Massacre never should have become a franchise but for what it is, 2 is the only other worthwhile film in the franchise simply because of Tobe Hooper and how he doubled down on the dark comedy aspect that he was going for with the original film but since nobody got the dark comedy he decided to go all in for the sequel.

hell. hell's exactly what they raised.tobe you actual madman. just outstandingly insane. like all i want from filmmaking is dennis hopper and leatherface sword fighting with chainsaws. like that's it, we can quit making movies now. i love the tradition of getting a higher budget for your sequel and just making it so much MORE. like this was so much MORE. honestly not very "funny" but the original with the goofy-o-meter turned up significantly. i think this may have been made for me — an opening kill set to oingo boingo??? SO good
