I get the underlying themes of it all (sexual repression, constant vigilance), which is cool, I just feel like it could’ve been expressed differently. The kids were genuinely really weird, and I feel like if we are to believe Miss Giddens is in the wrong, then I think there should be more of a present sense of delusion. Although I do understand that it’s kinda meant to be intentionally ambiguous so we can believe whatever we make of it.
