Impoverished, childless and living in a garbage dump, Miguel and Lina become instant celebrities when Lina miraculously becomes pregnant. But Lina gives birth to a fish, which increases her celebrity but leaves Miguel humiliated and the couple at odds. What follows is an illuminating examination of how this unusual family copes and compromises in the face of a modern-day miracle.

I hate how this movie made me feel. It makes me choke every time the topic is about accepting your child no matter what. I always cry about it since i didnt get to experience that. My parents dont accept who I truly am—the person I became while they were gone during my childhood. I want them to embrace the fact that I am independent when they are not around, but they always make me feel immature. Since they cannot accept who I truly am, I want to escape this situation and be where i i could fit and just be myself

what the fish!
wdym literal isda iya gianak tas gituring jud niya ug anak. what a mother. sa true lang, nag lisod kog process sa whole movie kay fantasy kaayo pero atsm natural ra kaayo kay cherry pie nga mag act as a mother sa isda ??? if that makes sense ambot ambot basta galing sm mag acting sa mga mc. feel na feel kaayo nako ang kalain sa buot ni uncle miguel huhu senxia kol pero mao naman jud na gihatag sa ginoo,, dawat2 nlng. next tym if naa kay plano palayaon ang isda nga anak nimo, ayaw sa polluted nga tubig pls lang, mahiya k nman sa anak mo (lina, 2011).
