Am I supposed to be scared of him because he sucks on a lollipop?
Really astounded here. I went into this thinking it was gonna be like Fight Club for truckers that listen to Tom Macdonald. I couldn’t have been more wrong. First of all Willem Dafoe and Casey Affleck are in this putting up great performances. The cinematography is awesome, and all the visuals remind me of FarCry 5. The movie actually has shit to say about oppression of the lower class in society. How the lower class are bullied and forced into drugs and violence or oppressed for no reason just because of the state they were born in. Also the scene at the drive-in is so cool. As someone who’s never seen a Refn or a Zahler this is what I assumed their movies are like.

a stacked cast with great performances all around. a film about loss and revenge. that soundtrack throughout the film was absolutely amazing. a slow-burn that rewards the viewer after if you have the patience. christian bale is impeccable in this film. pretty sure this man doesn’t have a bad performance ever.
