HELL YEAH
One of my favorite law centered thrillers ever, second only to dark waters. This movie is peak, told beautifully, acted beautifully and is (even after nearly 30 years) incredibly relevant today. Please watch this film, I’m virtually begging you right now. Please watch it. Only fault I have is the shot choice is almost basic at times outside of the courtroom but when the viewer steps in it, it is perfectly curated to draw you in and strip out all of your emotion.

What a powerful film. Jackson, McConaughey and Bullock deliver such immense performances and the best I’ve see of their careers. Spacey gives a quite good display. The only real gripe I have is that many of the characters feel comedic for absolutely no reason. I get that it might be purposeful to portray the way racist Americans seem to the normal world but it feels so unbelievably out of place. Every scene in the courtroom is excellent and the dynamics between everyone are quite fantastic. Excellent work of cinema 🤟🤟
