One good teacher can change the trajectory of your life. This film truly embodies this. Not giving up on someone or a group can give them that hope for a better life, that without it they may never had saw for themselves.
This film was very emotional and so well done. Erin from the start never gave up hope for these kids, the first part where it was shown in that she didn’t take off her pearls or give in to the idea that these kids are lost causes.
I truly think if we’re ever going to have healing in this world education and real compassion and care in classrooms is where it’ll start. One good teacher can change the course of your life, it’s something that’s fully true for me, one teacher made me see a future for myself which I never would’ve saw if it weren’t for those talks. So I think that’s why this film resonates so much with me, I really can relate to so much of the story and how one person can really make a big impact on you that it truly changes the path you see for yourself.
